Forney ISD: National Showcase Schools District

For a 2nd year, Capturing Kids’ Hearts® has named Forney ISD as a National Showcase Schools District award winner for the 2023-2024 school year. Only 40 school districts nationwide have earned the National Showcase District distinction. Additionally, 18 Forney ISD campuses were selected for national awards from Capturing Kids’ Hearts®.

*New schools are not eligible to be a CKH National Showcase campus until they are in their second year, but may receive a Rising Star award if they demonstrate exemplary progress and fidelity of implementation in their first year of the Capturing Kids’ Hearts® Journey.

The award celebrates campuses across the nation that go above and beyond to cultivate a safe and supportive environment for students and staff that creates a positive school culture and forges meaningful connections across the district.

"We are incredibly proud of our staff and the way they devote countless hours to creating a positive learning environment for each and every student in Forney ISD," said Forney ISD Superintendent Dr. Justin Terry. "They do an amazing job at connecting and supporting our students, and this award demonstrates their proven commitment to putting relationships first."

For over 30 years, Capturing Kids’ Hearts® has brought tools that equip teachers, coaches, administrators, and district leaders to implement transformational processes focused on cultivating student-connectedness, improving school culture, and fostering character development. Each year, over 37,000 educators receive training that is designed to directly impact every aspect of a school community.

Capturing Kids’ Hearts® is proud to recognize outstanding school administrators, teaching staff, and faculty for producing exemplary outcomes with the CKH process.

Capturing Kids’ Hearts® National Showcase School awardees are evaluated and selected based on survey and performance data from administrators, teachers, staff, and students. Because of the rigor of our evaluation process, the Capturing Kids’ Hearts® National Showcase Schools award is both a high aspiration and an exemplary recognition of excellence.
