  • Approved as consent items:
    • Minutes from the September 2, 2014, City Council meeting.
    • Site plan for the First Baptist Church bus garage and pavilion, generally located at the southeast intersection of FM 741 and Holly Leaf Trail.
    • Preliminary plat for Vintage Meadows Addition, generally located west of FM 741 and south of High Country Lane.
    • Final change order 5 in the amount of $127,322.50 for KBR.
    • A Resolution re-adopting and approving the City’s Investment Policy.
  • Terminated a contract with H.W. Lockner to facilitate a coordinated earlier completion of the SH80/FM460 south ramp.
    Ms. Nash explained the county can take this project over as part of its larger project, and will get quicker results from TxDOT.
  • Approved an Ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances by amending the Master Fee Schedule to reflect changes regarding fees for Building Permits, including Fire Sprinkler Systems and Fire Alarm Systems, Water and Wastewater Impact Fees, and sewer service charge.
  • Approved the amended Performance Agreement between the Forney Economic Development Corporation and Zanata Restaurant.
    This item was debated at length, but in the end, as it is city (FEDC) - owned property, the structural changes need to be made.
  • Approved the amended Lease Agreement between the Forney Economic Development Corporation and Zanata Restaurant.
  • Pulled from consideration the amended Performance Agreement between the Forney Economic Development Corporation and Christian Foster dba Groovy’s.
  • Pulled from consideration the amended Lease Agreement between the Forney Economic Development Corporation and Christian Foster dba Groovy’s.
  • Approved a Resolution consenting to the addition of 65.447 acres of land to Kaufman County Fresh Water Supply District No. 1-C.
  • Approvedall matters incident and related to approving and authorizing publication of notice of intention to issue certificates of obligation, including the adoption of a resolution pertaining thereto.
    Notices will be published so that during the Nov. 4 council meeting they may consider issuing $5,075,000 CO's to construct Fire Station # 2 and the new animal shelter.
