P&Z greenlights Raising Cane's after expressing traffic concerns

During its regular July 07, 2016 meeting, the Forney Planning and Zoning Commission met and (this is a preliminary report, subject to revision):

• Approved the following three items in one motion, after much discussion about traffic impact, and noting that TxDOT has approved the design:
  
  • a preliminary plat for the Broad Street East Addition, located east of F.M. 548 and south of U.S. Highway 80.

  • final plat for the Broad Street East Addition, located east of F.M. 548 and south of U.S. Highway 80.

  • a site plan for Raising Cane’s, located east of F.M. 548 and south of U.S. Highway 80.

• Mr. Morgan said staff in final stages of hiring new department admin & board secretary. There are some applications for Aug. meeting. New appointments to the board are Mark Safford & Ronnie Rexrode.
