City Council Special Meeting for annexation

Forney City Council holds a special mid-day meeting to consider annexation of the FPLE / NextEra / Luminant power plant property, consisting of 76 acres.
After an executive session lasting 2.5 hours, the council:

• Tabled action on annexation of property
  
• Selected James Fisher for City Manager, on 6-1 vote (Powers voted nay), effective Sept. 06, 2016.
  
• Took no action regarding City Attorney
