Turkey Trax Auto Show & Veterans Day Celebration

The Forney Economic Development Corporation and Unique Karz once again have joined forces to sponsor the Turkey Trax Auto Show! The car show will be held on the streets of Downtown Forney starting at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday November 11, 2012. Unique Karz will rally hundreds of collector vehicles in many classes including 50’s, 60’s and 70’s favorites as well as Muscle Cars, Mustangs, Corvettes, Tricked-out Trucks and a perennial crowd pleaser: Low Riders!

Registration for all car, truck, and motorcycle classes is $20, or $15 plus five non-perishable food items to be donated to the New Life Food Pantry in Forney. Prizes will be awarded in many categories, including the sought after “Mayors Choice.” Kids may enter their mini-models, bikes and pedal cars for FREE. Entry into the event as a spectator is also FREE! However, donations of non-perishable food items will be graciously accepted.

The city is searching for all local veterans of our armed forces to attend a ceremony from 1 - 2PM, and information about veterans in the community that may not be able to attend and would need some assistance.

You may send a small informational line of the service member’s duty to Kayla Bryson at the City. Additionally, if you know of current residents of Forney who are serving our country, please send that information so that they may be recognized during the ceremony.

IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOU LIVE IN FORNEY. WE WANT YOU AT THE CEREMONY!
