Forney City Hall moving soon
Forney City Hall departments will do some shuffling and moving soon, making use of the recently acquired property at Pinson and Broad. The building was most recently occupied by Eric L. Davis Engineered, but for most of its existence it was American National Bank.
The City released a statement regarding the rearrangement -
The current City Hall at 101 E Main St. in Downtown Forney will accommodate Community Development (Planning and Permits), Engineering, and Communications. The council chambers at this location will continue to host city council meetings, planning and zoning commission meetings, and other related gatherings.
Additionally, 402 N Bois D Arc will be the new location for Utility Billing (Water Bills), Finance, and Public Works. This change is particularly important for residents who pay their water bills in person.
The relocation is expected to be completed by August 2024. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about the relocation and departmental updates through the city's website and social media channels.
