City Council met on Aug. 02 to select John Thatcher as new city attorney; approve selling bonds and C.O.'s; denied wifi water tower contract; tabled approval of H.O.T. funds; denies Raising Cane's due to traffic safety issues.
The Board of Adjustment met on Aug. 01 to consider a request for a carport on an existing house (denied), and to reduce setback requirements for a planned new house (approved).
During its July 14 meeting , the Forney EDC approved rather large amount of H.O.T. funds, approved next years' budget, and debated detention pond maintenance.
Forney P&Z thanked Raising Cane's for coming to the Broad St. East Addition, discussed the traffic problems it will likely aggravate, and approved the plans.
